ARCHIVED - Torrevieja to host charity peace gala in support of Ukraine: March 19
The proceeds of the solidarity event will go to Ukranian assocations in the Vega Baja town, Alicante province
Local artists are joining together for a charity gala in Torrevieja dedicated to peace in Ukraine following Russia's invasion and to raise money for Ukraine associations in the town.
Organised by the local council, the 'Torrevieja for Peace' gala will be held at the Municipal Theatre on Saturday March 19, at 8.30pm, featuring performances by Lucía España, Nuria Maddaloni, María Ortigosa, Shani Ormiston, Escuela Municipal de Danza, Sette Voci, Jesús García, Zhinoviy Harvat and Quique Montes, along with "many more surprises".

In addition to the solidarity, the Torrevieja health department has also made 52 beds available for wounded refugees as part of an emergency action plan activated by the Valencian Government to turn the region into a "humanitarian corridor" to help the crisis in besieged Ukraine.
