For electricity, VAT has been reduced from 21% to 10% for homes with a power rating of 10 kW or less, while the Electricity Tax falls from 5.11% to 0.5%. Gas bills are also seeing reductions, with both VAT and the Hydrocarbons Tax cut to 10%. These measures are currently in effect from 22 March to 30 June, although they could change depending on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
