Dates of all the public bank holidays in the Murcia Region 2023
These will be the dates of the public holidays in the Region of Murcia this year

Murcia’s regional government has revealed its calendar of red days and public bank holidays in the Region of Murcia for 2023.
For this year, the main difference will be that, although the holiday of el Día de San José on March 19 (which is Father’s Day in Spain) falls on a Sunday, the day off will not be transferred to the Monday.
Instead, people in Murcia will have a day off on Friday June 9, the date set aside to commemorate the Day of the Region. In short, it means exchanging one long weekend in March for another three months later.
Another long weekend in 2023 is the Puente de la Constitución in December, when it will be possible to take a holiday from Wednesday December 6 to Sunday December 10.
When will the public holidays be in Murcia in 2023?
- Monday 2 January (the day after New Year’s Day)
- Friday 6 January (The Feast of the Epiphany)
- Thursday 6 April (Maundy Thursday)
- Friday 7 April (Good Friday)
- Monday 1 May (Labour Day/May Day)
- Friday 9 June (Regional Day)
- Tuesday 15 August (Feast of the Assumption)
- Thursday 12 October (National Holiday)
- Wednesday 1 November (All Saints Day)
- Wednesday 6 December (Spanish Constitution Day)
- Friday 8 December (Immaculate Conception)
- Monday 25 December (Christmas Day)
Additionally, each municipality in Murcia decides its own list with two days of local holidays.
