Chocolate bar recall: Supermarket chain in Spain pulls product over metal fragment fears
Customers are advised to return the Choceur salted caramel chocolate to Aldi for a full refund

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) was alerted to the issue by health authorities in Catalonia, who raised the alarm through the national rapid alert system. The possible contamination was detected through the company’s own internal quality checks, and Aldi has since notified customers through its stores and website.
Anyone who has bought a bar from this specific batch is being advised not to eat it and instead take it back to any Aldi store, where they’ll receive a full refund. The supermarket has also set up a helpline on 0034 900 902 466 for anyone with questions, or customers can also use the contact form on Aldi’s website.
Although there haven’t been any reported health problems linked to this batch, Spain’s consumer association OCU has issued some precautionary advice. It suggests watching out for symptoms like stomach, chest or throat pain, fever or vomiting – particularly in young children, who may also show signs of irritability. Anyone feeling unwell is advised to contact emergency services on 112.
