Weather outlook on Wednesday February 14

The aftermath of a stormy weekend will linger at the beginning of the week in Alicante province but the weather will settle down as the days go by to reveal mostly sunny skies. The temperatures which plummeted in recent days will shoot back up, reaching highs of between 20°C and 24°C by Thursday.

However, there’s still a chance of scattered rainfall during the first half of the week.

Monday February 12

Mostly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day, which should clear up in the afternoon. Daytime temperatures will shoot up into the mid-20s in most parts. Westerly winds will develop into strong gusts inland, but these will ease up later in the day.

Alcoy: 8ºC to 19ºC

Alicante: 8ºC to 24ºC

Denia: 8ºC to 23ºC

Elche: 8ºC to 25ºC

Orihuela: 8ºC to 24ºC

Tuesday February 13

Mostly cloudy skies in the morning, clearing up in the afternoon, with a small chance of scattered showers early on. Both daytime and night-time temperatures will continue to rise. The wind will die down, with only occasional moderate intervals along the coast.

Alcoy: 10ºC to 21ºC

Alicante: 12ºC to 23ºC

Denia: 12ºC to 21ºC

Elche: 11ºC to 25ºC

Orihuela: 10ºC to 25ºC

Wednesday February 14

Wednesday will be bright and sunny although the cloud cover will increase as the evening draws in. Temperatures will fall ever so slightly.

Alcoy: 11ºC to 20ºC

Alicante: 11ºC to 18ºC

Denia: 10ºC to 19ºC

Elche: 11ºC to 20ºC

Orihuela: 11ºC to 20ºC

Thursday February 15

Thursday will again be mostly clear with some high clouds. Daytime temperatures will climb once more in the north of Alicante province while remaining largely unchanged in the south.

Gentle winds from the south, with occasional moderate gusts on the southern coast in the afternoon.

Alcoy: 10ºC to 23ºC

Alicante: 12ºC to 18ºC

Denia: 10ºC to 19ºC

Elche: 9ºC to 21ºC

Orihuela: 9ºC to 22ºC
