ARCHIVED - Yellow alert for storms and showers in Alicante: November 5 to 7
Temperatures are likely to drop to 19 degrees Celsius with hail likely on the south coast of Alicante province
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow alert for showers and occasional storms throughout Friday November 5 and into the weekend, with an accumulated rainfall of up to 20 mm/hr on the north and south coast of Alicante province.
In southern and central coastal areas, cloudy skies with probable showers and thunderstorms are likely, whilst the rest of the province can expect cloudy intervals.
Temperatures will drop slightly to a maximum of 19ºC, particularly in the north and south of the province with moderate northeasterly winds on the coast.
Moving into Saturday, Aemet forecasts cloudy skies with probable showers and storms during the first half of the day on the southern coast, tending to slightly cloudy in the afternoon.
The rest of the province can expect slightly cloudy or clear skies with no significant temperature changes, remaining around 10ºC minimum and maximums of 19ºC.
The cloudy skies and periodic showers look set to remain well into Sunday evening.
