ARCHIVED - Weekly summer markets under way in Isla Plana, La Azohia, Los Nietos, Islas Menores and Los Urrutias
The Cartagena beach markets run this year until September 15
Last Friday July 1 saw the reopening of the summer weekly markets in coastal towns and villages of the municipality of Cartagena, with the first two being held in Islas Menores and Isla Plana and the next in Los Nietos being held on Sunday July 3.
They will be complemented by the start of the Thursday markets in La Azohía and Los Urrutias on July 6, and although the locations and timings of the weekly events are much as usual there have been a few small changes. The ground on which stalls are set up has been improved in both Isla Plana and Los Nietos, while the location in La Azohía has been moved a few metres to a more appropriate site to minimize the inconvenience to certain residents.
All of the markets take place between 8.30 and 13.30.
