Not quite on a par with its mountain-scaling relatives, a domestic goat found itself in a precarious predicament perched on the side of a rockface in a cave at Mutxamel's Barranc dels Cocons, a natural area popular with hikers.

Unable to move up or down, the goat was trapped until Alicante firefighters jumped into action, abseiling down to the cave and donning the animal in a harness usually used in canine rescues before slowly pulling it to the top of the mountain.

In the clip shared on social networks by Alicante Firefighters' Consortium, the young goat appears to be quite calm as its hauled to safety, despite bashing against the rocks several times until animal and rescuer make it to the top.
