ARCHIVED - Terra Mitica theme park in Benidorm to reopen on June 4
The famous Alicante theme park has remained closed for the last two years
The Terra Mítica theme park in Benidorm has announced that it will reopen its doors on June 4 after being forced to close for two years of the coronavirus pandemic. The owners of the park are excited to begin the summer season with “renewed energy and great enthusiasm” with more than thirty attractions and shows on offer.
A spokesperson for the theme park assured that certain “emblematic” rides such as the 100-kilometre-per-hour Titanide roller coaster will make a comeback, along with other hair-raising attractions like the Flight of the Phoenix, which drops thrill seekers in a 54-metre free fall in just three seconds.
Old favourites such as Icaros, Sycope and Tornado will all reopen, and there are plenty of rides for the little ones, along with tamer options for the more faint-hearted.
Terra Mítica’s famous shows are always a safe bet, and this year visitors to the Pandora auditorium in Las Islas will be treated to the magic of the dancer Fantasia in an event that promises a spectacular mix of emotion and beauty.
The Circus Maximum of Rome will feature another show about the iconic historical character, while different animated characters will float throughout the park each day, many old favourites and others who are just making their debut in the Land of Emotions in Benidorm.
To celebrate the reopening, Terra Mítica has launched its season pass, which gives holders unlimited access to the complex’s facilities as well as offering discounts for other parks such as Aqualandia and Mundomar.
