Temperatures shoot up this weekend: Alicante weather forecast Jan 11-14
It has already rained more during January in Alicante province than the last three months combined
Weather outlook on Sunday January 14
The dreaded DANA arrived in Alicante in the middle of the week but compared to much of the country, the rainfall and chilly temperatures were a mere blip in an otherwise pleasant week. Nevertheless, more rain has fallen in these first few days of January than in the previous three months combined.
The storms will begin to move away on Thursday and while January 11 will be significantly colder than the day before, the temperatures will begin to rise from Friday, soaring back into the low- to mid-20s by the end of the weekend.
Thursday January 11
Showers will persist along the coast throughout Thursday but the day should be mostly bright with cloudy intervals. Daytime temperatures will continue to hover between a cool 10 and 15ºC and the night will be very cold, lowering the snow level to an altitude of 500-800 metres.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday
Alcoy: 2ºC to 10ºC
Alicante: 7ºC to 15ºC
Denia: 7ºC to 14ºC
Elche: 5ºC to 15ºC
Orihuela: 7ºC to 16ºC
Friday January 12
Slightly cloudy or clear skies are forecast on Friday. The night will be a little cooler than the previous day while few changes are expected to the maximum temperatures.

Alcoy: 1ºC to 13ºC
Alicante: 5ºC to 15ºC
Denia: 5ºC to 15ºC
Elche: 3ºC to 15ºC
Orihuela: 4ºC to 15ºC
Saturday January 13
Saturday will be mostly clear with intervals of high clouds. Daytime temperatures will begin to climb, especially inland, where the frost will begin to dissipate.

Alcoy: 2ºC to 18ºC
Alicante: 5ºC to 16ºC
Denia: 5ºC to 17ºC
Elche: 4ºC to 17ºC
Orihuela: 5ºC to 17ºC
Sunday January 14
Alicante will return to the weather it’s more used to on Sunday and the daytime temperatures will shoot up into the mid-20s in most parts. The skies will be slightly cloudy and a light wind from the west will be a little breezy in the afternoon.

Alcoy: 11ºC to 23ºC
Alicante: 9ºC to 23ºC
Denia: 8ºC to 22ºC
Elche: 7ºC to 24ºC
Orihuela: 8ºC to 24ºC
