Temperatures of up to 25 degrees: Alicante weather forecast Jan 15-18
The coasts of Alicante province have been placed on alert for strong winds mid-week
Weather outlook on Wednesday January 17
The current burst of spring-like heat is set to continue in Alicante for the next few days, with the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasting daytime temperatures of up to 25ºC as a result of the ongoing Hipólito storm.
The mercury began to creep up throughout the Valencian Community over the weekend but there were smatterings of rain and rather overcast skies. But as we enter the third week of January, the thermometers will shoot up to values more reminiscent of April.
“Since Sunday we have entered into a situation of westerly winds that will last at least until Thursday and will cause temperatures to rise, both maximum and minimum. On the coast it will be close to 25ºC,” an Aemet spokesperson confirmed.
Monday January 15
The week will start off rather cloudy, the skies becoming more overcast in the middle of the day when there’s a slight chance of showers. Night-time temperatures will jump up noticeably and 20ºC will be exceeded in most parts in the afternoon.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Monday
Alcoy: 14ºC to 18ºC
Alicante: 16ºC to 22ºC
Denia: 14ºC to 21ºC
Elche: 14ºC to 21ºC
Orihuela: 12ºC to 20ºC
Tuesday January 16
The skies will be much clearer on Tuesday with some cloudy intervals. Daytime temperatures will continue to climb, although a westerly wind will feel breezy along the coast.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Tuesday
Alcoy: 14ºC to 22ºC
Alicante: 14ºC to 22ºC
Denia: 12ºC to 23ºC
Elche: 14ºC to 23ºC
Orihuela: 13ºC to 24ºC
Wednesday January 17
As the temperatures soar into the mid-20s, there’s a good chance of rain across Alicante province during the early hours of the morning, more especially in the north. A west and southwesterly breeze could turn gusty in the second half of the day, and the south and northern coasts have been issued with yellow alerts from noon.

Alcoy: 14ºC to 20ºC
Alicante: 13ºC to 23ºC
Denia: 13ºC to 23ºC

Thursday January 18
The strong west winds will die down on Thursday and the temperatures too will go into a slight decline. The day will be mostly clear with some cloudy intervals.

Alicante: 14ºC to 23ºC
