Sunshine fades as clouds and showers move in: Alicante weekend weather April 23-26
Cooler air moves in, bringing more cloud and the chance of rain across parts of the province

After a few weeks of almost summer-like weather, with temperatures reaching nearly 30 degrees in some places, many will have already packed away the winter woolies and switched to their summer wardrobe. It might be worth keeping a jumper to hand though, as the weather is set to change over the next few days, with cooler temperatures, more cloud, some strong winds at times and even the chance of rain.
Thursday April 23
Thursday will be cloudier, particularly along the coast during the morning and again later in the day. There is a chance of a few light showers in northern areas, although most places will stay dry.
Temperatures will fall, especially inland where the drop will be more noticeable. Winds will be moderate from the northeast along the coast, and lighter as you go further inland.
Friday April 24
Friday will stay mostly cloudy, with strong northeasterly winds along the southern Alicante coast, where a yellow warning is in place. Gusts could reach 50 to 60 km/h at times, with rougher seas expected offshore. Scattered showers are also possible across parts of the province.
Temperatures will stay much the same. Winds will continue from the east, stronger along the coast and lighter further inland.
Saturday April 25
Saturday will be cloudy at times, with some brighter spells breaking through. Southern parts of the province are more likely to see showers, and there is a small chance of the odd thunderstorm developing.
Further north it will stay brighter for much of the day, although an isolated shower can’t be ruled out. Temperatures will dip slightly overnight and winds will remain moderate along the coast.
Sunday April 26
Sunday starts off unsettled, especially in the south where a few showers or isolated thunderstorms are still possible in the morning.
Conditions will improve though as the day goes on, with cloud breaking up and brighter spells developing across most areas. Temperatures will begin to edge up again, while light to moderate easterly winds are expected.
Overall, it will be a changeable few days across Alicante with some cloud and showers at times, although there will still be plenty of dry and brighter spells in between.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this weekend:

- Thursday April 23: Min 12ºC, Max 26ºC
- Friday April 24: Min 10ºC, Max 21ºC
- Saturday April 25: Min 9ºC, Max 20ºC
- Sunday April 26: Min 8ºC, Max 22ºC
