ARCHIVED - Out in the sun after 150 days in intensive care with Covid: GVA Valencia
Hospital staff took Fernando outside for some fresh air
150 days in intensive care suffering from the extreme effects of Covid-19 is something which was totally incomprehensible just a short time ago.
But now we have become so densensitised to the suffering caused by Coronavirus that "just a few deaths" on a daily basis is barely even newsworthy any longer and the daily statistics of those still hospitalised in intensive care with the virus just wash straight over our heads.

But behind every statistic is another human being and this is one of the "cases" still hospitalised with severe complications caused by the virus.
The Valencia regional health authority shared this tweet today as "Fernando" was wheeled out into the sunshine after 150 days in intensive care.
How was it, the press asked, " like reliving, a miracle, an amazing and transcendental experience," he said, barely able to speak following months of intubation.
This week the regional health authorities hope to administer more than 360,000 doses of vaccines and maintain their position as the mainland region with the lowest rate in Spain; and hopefully prevent any further cases of Valencian residents having to spend 150 days fighting for their life in an intensive care unit.
