Night closures return on Seville's Centenario Bridge during €102m upgrade
Bridge expansion work will shut sections of the SE-30 ring road overnight until Thursday July 31, with diversions in place

Closures will be in place from 10.00pm to 6.00am on the nights of Wednesday July 23 through to Thursday July 31, with the exception of Saturday July 26 and Sunday July 27, when the bridge will remain open to traffic.
The restrictions are part of a wider €102.8 million project led by Spain’s Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility. The scheme includes replacing the bridge’s stay cables and widening the deck to boost capacity and safety.
Crews are currently focused on expanding the bridge deck, after which some temporary structures, including carriages and beams used in the expansion phase, will be dismantled.
To protect workers and road users, traffic will be diverted between kilometres 10 and 12 of the SE-30 during the affected nights.
Drivers are being rerouted as follows:
- Towards Huelva: Traffic coming from the A-4 will be diverted at exit 549 (SE-30 Puente Centenario/SE-40/A-49 Huelva/A-66 Mérida), joining the SE-31 (lock road), continuing to the roundabout on José Delgado Brackenbury Street and rejoining the SE-30.
- From SE-40 via Dos Hermanas: Same route as above after the A-4 junction.
- Heading upstream on the SE-30: Divert at exit 9 (A-4 Cádiz), continue on the A-4 to exit 549 and follow the same SE-31 detour.
- Towards Cádiz: Exit 12B (E-5/SE-40/Puerto Sur/free zone) leads to the SE-31 and onwards to the SE-40, with access back to the SE-30 and all other directions.
These works follow earlier overnight closures on the bridge announced back in May for related expansion activities. All diversions will be clearly signposted to minimise disruption.
