May 28 to June 5 A-Class sailing in Los Alcázares
The European A-Class championship is based at the CAR centre in Los Alcázares
Competitors from all over the world are flocking to Los Alcázares on the shore of the Mar Menor between 28th June and 5th May to take part in the European A-Class sailing championship, with the nine days including practice days, qualifying events and as many as 12 actual competitions over two regatta courses.
Among those taking part are sailors from Spain, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, France, the UK, Germany, Hungary, the Virgin Islands, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden and the USA. All of them will be striving to show the best use of technology, precision, tactics and wind reading as they compete for victory, as Los Alcázares continues to lead the way with what the Town Hall describes as “the best regatta courses in Europe”.
