ARCHIVED - Just the ticket: new reduced Alicante bus pass prices from February 1
Urban and interurban bus pass prices have been slashed in Alicante city until July 31 2023

As is the case in cities across Spain this week, Alicante Council has backed a government proposal to extend the 50% discount on public transport, and while other local authorities have agreed to subside travel until June 30, passengers in Alicante can benefit from the reduction until July 31.
As of Wednesday February 1, season and multi-trip tickets on urban and interurban services will be half price on the entire Metrovalencia network, Alicante and Castellón TRAM, MetroBus and other concessions.
Central government will cover 30% of the discount and the city council the remaining 20%.
The new reduced bus pass prices until July 31 are:
Tourist Card 24H: 6.50 euros
Tourist Card 48H: 8 euros
Tourist Card 72H: 9 euros
Bono Móbilis Oro Alicante Bonificado: 2.50 euros
Bono Ruta 4/30 Joven-Jove: 7.50 euros
Bono 30 days: 20 euros
Bono Móbilis Multiviaje (10 journeys): 4.35 euros
Móbilis Multi-trip Travel Pass (30 journeys): 13.05 euros
Móbilis Youth Travel Pass: 10.50 euros
Móbilis School Travel Pass: 8.25 euros
Móbilis San Vicente Gold Pass: 3.15 euros
Young people under the age of 30 can take advatange of the 50% discount, but not at the same level as other cities in the Valencia Region where they travel for free across the board.
While the Alicante TRAM is free, the City Council has not signed up for the Generalitat's under 30 free bus travel initiative, as is the case in other cities such as Valencia.
