June 19 to 24 Fiestas in the Mazarrón village of Cañadas del Romero

The fiestas are held in honour of San Juan, whose feast day falls on 24th June

The village and district of Cañadas del Romero in the countryside of Mazarrón is holding its annual fiestas in honour of San Juan between 19^th and 24^th June:

Friday June 19

20.30: Meet for a country hike in the area around the village, setting out at 21.00. The walk lasts around two hours and refreshments are offered in Restaurante Los Balcones at the end.

22.30: Live entertainment from the group Alma Flamenca.

23.00: The official start of the fiestas!

Saturday June 20

9.00 to 13.00: Classic car and motorcycle display, and motorbike dexterity races. Snacks are provided for those taking part and the spectators are offered an aperitivo.

14.00: Giant paella to be shared by all those present. Only 1 euro per portion, with proceeds going to charity!

15.30: A water and foam party for the children.

16.00: Bingo for all.

17.00: Live entertainment from singer Pedro Luis.

Sunday June 21

8.00: Second-hand flea market.

20.00: Manolo’s Menorca horse show!

Monday June 22

An official rest day for the patron saint!

Tuesday June 23

23.00: Hot chocolate and sweet confectionary for all attendees.

Midnight: The traditional San Juan bonfire is lit.

Wednesday June 24

20.00: Holy Mass in honour of San Juan Bautista.

21.00: Procession of the figure of San Juan with musical accompaniment from the Banda de El Paretón.
