Heatwave gives way to drizzle: Alicante weather forecast Jan 29-Feb 1
Weak and scattered rainfall has been forecast in parts of Alicante province in the coming days
Weather outlook on Wednesday January 31
The unseasonal weather pattern affecting the Valencian Community in recent weeks has resulted in temperatures more akin to spring than winter, with multiple provinces setting new record highs for the month of January. However, this unusual weather scenario is expected to shift at the beginning of the week.
Monday January 29
According to the latest predictions from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) for Monday, the morning will begin overcast in the south of Alicante and inland. The rest of the province will be slightly cloudy with probable mists and fog banks in the south.
Weak, scattered rainfall is likely late in the day around Cabo de la Nao.
Night-time temperatures will increase slightly in the extreme south with few changes elsewhere.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Monday:
Alcoy: 7ºC to 13ºC
Alicante: 7ºC to 18ºC
Denia: 9ºC to 17ºC
Elche: 6ºC to 19ºC
Orihuela: 5ºC to 18ºC
Tuesday January 30
On Tuesday, the weather is expected to remain largely consistent, with a possibility of early morning showers near Cabo de la Nao. Temperature highs will range from 9°C to 18°C. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the north and northeast along the coast, while remaining weak and variable in other areas.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Tuesday:
Alcoy: 8ºC to 13ºC
Alicante: 9ºC to 18ºC
Denia: 10ºC to 17ºC
Elche: 8ºC to 19ºC
Orihuela: 6ºC to 18ºC
Wednesday January 31
Aemet anticipates partly cloudy or clear skies on Wednesday. Fog and mist will persist in certain inland municipalities. Temperatures will remain relatively stable across the board. Moderate northerly and northeasterly winds are expected along the coast, while gentle variable breezes prevail elsewhere.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Wednesday:
Alcoy: 7ºC to 16ºC
Alicante: 5ºC to 18ºC
Denia: 8ºC to 16ºC
Elche: 6ºC to 18ºC
Orihuela: 6ºC to 17ºC
Thursday February 1
As we enter a new month, forecasters expect partly cloudy or clear skies, but southern Alicante could be more overcast in the morning with patches of mist and fog inland. Night-time temperatures will remain steady or dip slightly, while the afternoon highs should begin to rise.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday:
Alcoy: 6ºC to 18ºC
Alicante: 6ºC to 17ºC
Denia: 6ºC to 18ºC
Elche: 5ºC to 18ºC
Orihuela: 5ºC to 19ºC
