Heatwave continues in Murcia with 39-degree temperatures: Weekly weather forecast June 30-July 3
More sunny and very hot weather conditions in the Region of Murcia this week according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet)
Maximum temperatures in Murcia, Monday June 30
Spain has been experiencing extremely high and even dangerous temperatures of up to 46ºC recorded in some parts of the country, but not Murcia. Murcia is under a weather alert for high temperatures, but it is a yellow warning, not red or orange, and indicates highs of up to 39ºC.
That alert is active this Monday June 30 from 1pm to 9pm in the Vega del Segura area of central Murcia and the Altiplano area in the north. The weather on this day is expected to be bright and sunny, without any strong breezes. Temperatures will be around 21-22ºC at night, while during the day they will reach up to 35-39ºC in inland parts and 30-34ºC on the coast of Murcia.

The weather on Tuesday July 1 will be similarly clear and sunny with little cloud cover or wind, and the yellow weather alert will still be active for the Vega del Segura, if not for the northern part of the Region.

It will continue to be very hot and sunny on Wednesday July 2, perhaps a degree cooler at most, and there is a chance of stormy conditions just across Murcia’s northwestern border in the mountains of Jaén and Albacete, but little chance of that happening in Murcia.

Thursday 3 brings us a continuation of the hot, sunny, cloudless and still conditions dominating across the week and which will continue into the weekend.
