Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa awarded Best Golf Resort in Europe
The European Hotel Awards have praised the first Grand Hyatt in Spain for its sporting excellence and its outstanding golf facilities
The Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa hotel continues to gain recognition for its sporting excellence and its exclusive golf offering, having been named the best in southern Europe. The complex has been awarded as the Best Golf Resort in Europe in the 5th edition of the prestigious European Hotel Awards 2023.
These annual awards recognise various categories of the European hotel industry for their outstanding performance, innovative approaches and commitment to sustainability. The first Grand Hyatt in Spain has been distinguished for the quality and exclusivity of its sports facilities, its renowned international prestige, and for being a leading golf resort on the continent.
The hotel was recently reopened after renovations, and has been a driving force behind the economic resurgence of La Manga Club on a regional, national and European level.
With three of the best golf courses in Europe – the North Course, South Course and West Course – the La Manga Club complex has a wide range of golf facilities and equipment for both amateurs and all those who want to learn and get into golf. For this reason, it also has golf academies for adults and children with different levels, a large practice area, and other exclusive services such as the Club House, the 37 Spikes & Sports Bar, Caddy Master and the renovated Pro Shop. The best national and international stars such as Severiano Ballesteros, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player have competed in the resort’s facilities, and the most prestigious tournaments in the world of golf such as the Spanish Open have been held.
The 5th edition of the European Hotel Awards took place this Monday November 6 in Barcelona. Ángel Holgado, director of the Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa, collected the award.He said, “It is a great honour to receive this award in recognition of our commitment and constant work to provide the best service and excellence to our guests. This would not have been possible without the great work and dedication of our entire team. Without a doubt, this recognition motivates us to continue improving the experience of our guests and golf lovers, and to remain a leading tourist destination in European golf.”
Over the years, La Manga Club has won other distinctions, including the award for Best Golf Destination in Europe at the World Golf Awards; Best International Resort by Golf Digest magazine; Best Resort in Spain by Condé Nast Traveler; Best Sports Complex in Europe by the World Travel Awards; and Best resort in Continental Europe by Golf Digest Editor’s awards.
