Teulada-Moraira Town Hall has approved the long-term continuation of the service linking the two urban centres and beaches in the Marina Alta area of Alicante province

A free bus service linking Teulada and Moraira urban centres and beaches which was launched last summer for a trial period of two months will become a permanent fixture during holidays and fiestas.

The service ran from the beginning of August until September 15 last year and carried an average of 84 passengers every day, transporting more than 4,000 passengers between the two urban centres.

And having "surpassed all expections", in addition to huge demand for its return, the Town Hall voted in favour of reinstating the service at a plenary meeting last week.

"Having met the objectives set, the free Teulada-Moraira bus is back for good. We can formally say that this service will continue to be offered in seasons of high demand, thus connecting the two urban centres and beaches," confirmed the local council.
