Free stays in Ibiza… if you don't mind being watched
An art hotel offers a glass-walled room with zero privacy and zero cost

Enter the Zero Suite.
At the Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel in Sant Josep, there’s one room that won’t cost you a cent, but you’ll have to leave your modesty at the door. This glass-walled suite is located right in the middle of the hotel lobby, in full view of anyone walking in or out. The lights stay on 24/7, and there are no curtains. In other words, it’s one night of total exposure… for free.
Designed by artist Marcos Torres, the room is part of an ongoing social experiment blending art, performance and hospitality. It challenges guests to reflect on themes like privacy, exhibitionism and how much we’re willing to share; something especially relevant in our always-online world.
Guests who’ve stayed in the Zero Suite have had mixed feelings. Some described it as “uncomfortable” and said they couldn’t relax, while others saw it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience and embraced the theatre of it all.
If you’re curious, you’ll need to plan ahead. The hotel allows just one free night per person per year, and bookings are currently full for the next 18 months. To apply, fill out the form on the Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel website and wait to see if a date opens up.
For those brave enough to try it, it’s a free bed in one of the most expensive destinations in Europe but at the cost of your privacy. A fair trade? That’s up to you. Just remember to pack your pyjamas… and maybe a poker face.
