Half of the new infections in the region's three provinces, including Alicante, are aged 15 to 29 years old.
The Valencia region has recorded 1,970 new Covid diagnosis since Saturday as pressure on hospitals rises, with 72 admissions and three patients transferred to ICU.

The Valencia region's Ministry of Health has also confirmed today that half of the cases registered in the last month (49.4 per cent) have occurred in young people between 15 and 29-years-old.
Of these, 19.3 per cent are 20 to 24-years-old, with a cumulative incidence of 930 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in this age group.
"These figures show what we have said many times, that the pandemic is not over yet," warned the Minister for Health, Ana Barceló, adding: "We have managed to weaken the most serious effects of the virus, especially in the most vulnerable, but we still have to take another crucial step to end (the crisis) with maximum shared responsibility."
