Breezy but mild: Alicante weather forecast March 21-24
The gusts will continue to breeze through Alicante this weekend but the temperatures will remain pleasantly mild
Weather outlook on Saturday March 23
A strong wind alert has been issued for the province of Alicante, with gusts of up to 70 km/h expected from the northeast, prompting a yellow warning (level 7) from the State Meteorological Agency on Thursday.
This storm will last until Friday, bringing high waves of 2-3 metres to the Alicante coast, and will be followed by cloudy skies with some clear spells throughout the weekend. Despite the storm, temperatures will remain high, peaking at 25ºC during the day.
Thursday March 21
Cloudy skies are forecast in the north of the province on Thursday, with a chance of light rain showers in the morning and partial sunshine throughout the day. Coastal areas may experience morning mist and possibly some fog patches. There is also a possibility of suspended dust.
Temperature-wise, minimums will see a slight increase, while maximums will remain relatively stable in the north but drop slightly in the rest of the region.
Gusty northeasterly winds have placed coastal towns on yellow alert for rough seas from 10am.

Alcoy: 11ºC to 17ºC
Alicante: 15ºC to 24ºC
Denia: 12ºC to 19ºC
Elche: 14ºC to 25ºC
Orihuela: 12ºC to 24ºC
Friday March 22
On Friday, the sky is expected to be mostly clear or partially cloudy, with periods of high clouds. Night-time temperatures will continue their downward trend, but daytime temperatures will increase slightly, especially in northern Alicante.
Northeasterly winds will prevail along the coast, while inland areas will experience gentle variable winds with an easterly component.

Alcoy: 11ºC to 24ºC
Alicante: 13ºC to 22ºC
Denia: 11ºC to 20ºC
Elche: 12ºC to 25ºC
Orihuela: 11ºC to 25ºC
Saturday March 23
Intervals of medium and high clouds are predicted, with a chance of suspended dust in the southern half of the province.Temperatures will remain steady or rise slightly.
Winds will be moderate and blow from the northeast along the coast of Alicante, while inland areas will experience weak variable winds with a northerly component in the morning and a predominantly easterly direction in the afternoon.

Alcoy: 12ºC to 24ºC
Alicante: 15ºC to 21ºC
Denia: 11ºC to 20ºC
Elche: 12ºC to 23ºC
Orihuela: 11ºC to 23ºC
Sunday March 24
Cloudy skies are expected in the north of Alicante, with a chance of scattered showers. The rest of the region will enjoy mostly clear skies, although the suspended dust could make a reappearance in the south.
Temperatures will decrease across the board, with notably lower maximums in the northern parts of Alicante.

Alcoy: 10ºC to 20ºC
Alicante: 13ºC to 21ºC
Denia: 12ºC to 19ºC
Elche: 13ºC to 21ºC
Orihuela: 11ºC to 21ºC
