ARCHIVED - Benidorm to have its own Hollywood-style Walk of Fame
Chanel, who secured third place for Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will have the first star along Benidorm coastline
Hot on the heels of Spain's success in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, coming third behind the UK and Ukraine, Benidorm has announced plans to create a seafront Hollywood-style Walk of Fame.
The coastal resort hosted Spain's judging scores amid Benidorm Fest, which proved a huge success and the catalyst for the creation of a walk of the stars along the coastline in partnership with the Valencia Regional Government and Spanish TV channel RTVE.
And the first name to grace the hall of fame will be Spain's 2022 entry and runner-up Chanel Terrero.
Plans are already afoot for Benidorm Fest 2023 and a Eurovision pre-and-post party.
"The aim is to leave a lasting memory of the festival each year on Benidorm's seafront", explained the Town Hall.
