The adult entertainer became famous in the 80s and is best known for her 'vaginal magic show' performed in the Costa Blanca holiday resort
Notorious x-rated Benidorm legend 'Sticky Vicky' who shot to fame in the 80's with her outrageous adult performances, turns 80 on Saturday April 15.
For more than four decades, the raunchy entertainer, full name Victoria María Aragues Gadea, although she is also referred to as Vicky Leyton, has stunned British and other holidaymakers with her jaw-dropping performances.
She is probably best known for her 'vaginal magic show' that involved pulling a variety of items from her private parts, including ping-pong balls, bottles and razor blades.
Vicky hung up her tassels in 2015, days before having hip replacement surgery, but in her heyday, performed 36 shows a week in Benidorm's tourist zone known as 'Little England'.
The following year she was diagnosed with cancer and made a full recovery, and the baton was handed over to her daughter Maria, ensuring that 'Sticky Vicky's' legacy lives on in the Costa Blanca resort.
Maria grew up watching her mum and performs under the name Sticky Vicky after copycat entertainers tried to cash in on her mother's success.She said she decided to do her mum's show "when everyone wanted to take advantage of her name and lie to the public about who her daughter was".
Maria said her "intention was to ally myself with my mother to be stronger, and shut up the liars."
Maria is one of two siblings, and has a brother called Eduardo. Although Vicky never married, she is rumoured to have dated a German acrobat and a police inspector.
Born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on April 15, 1943, she began her career in the world of entertainment as a dancer and magician. In the 1960s, she and a well-known nightclub promoter, reportedly Maria's father, created the concept of Sticky Vicky and launched a show that combined illusionism with eroticism.
Maria revealed on Instagram: "My mother's beginnings with the sexy magic show were in Barcelona, after the Franco dictatorship. In Spain, everything changed and the people were liberated, the world of entertainment focused on the nude, there was no longer fear."
Dancers quickly realised they had to stand out from the crowd and "were required to do something more provocative and striking".
With the help of a magician, a sexy magic show was put together and became a huge hit, creating "a legend".
Sticky Vicky moved to the Costa Blanca and her vaginal magic show quickly gained fame in Benidorm and became a benchmark for adult entertainment in the resort, attracting locals and tourists, men and women.
However, throughout her career, Vicky Sticky Vicky faced criticism and controversy due to the explicit nature of their shows. Some accused her of promoting the objectification of women and of "contributing to the proliferation of drunken tourism in Benidorm".
However, others argued that her show was a form of empowerment and sexual freedom, and that Vicky was a strong, independent woman who broke taboos and challenged social norms.
After overcoming cervical cancer, Maria explained her mum is now suffering from the early onset of dementia.
"We do not fight against the current as before, now we let ourselves go, we flow, we live every day as if it were the last," she posted on Instagram.
