ARCHIVED - Alicante launches gastronomic vouchers campaign with up to 250 euros to spend in local restaurants
More than 120 restaurants and bars in Alicante city are taking part in the culinary initiative to boost local trade
Alicante Council has launched a Gastronomic Bonus campaign offering vouchers of 25 euros each which can be used in 120 bars and restaurants to help reactivate and support the city's hospitality industry.
A maximum of 10 vouchers can be requested per person, offering discounts of up to 250 euros, and 5,900 of the 14,000 vouchers available have already been handed out.
It's worth noting that although the vouchers are worth 25 euros, they can only be redeemed when a minimum of 50 euros is spent in any establishment.
The gastronomic vouchers are available to anyone registered in the municipality of Alicante, and can be requested from November 17 to December 17, via the town hall website
To apply:
- Click on 'Tipo de Servicio' and select 'Bonos de comercio y gastronómicos'
- In 'Gestión', click on 'Bono gastronómico" in the drop-down menu
- In the calendar that appears, select the date to activate the voucher and then fill in the personal details section
- Once the request has been made, the voucher will be sent via email which can be printed off or the QR code saved as a screenshot on a mobile device to be shown at the participating establishments
Which Alicante bars and restaurants are taking part?
More than 120 eateries are participating in the initiative, including Nou Manolín, Barrazero, La Bodeguita 1999 and Tribeca. Reservations must be made in advance and a complete list of the venues taking part is available on Alicante Turismo's website.
