Alicante dodges the incoming cold front: Weather forecast February 22-25
The weather will remain mild in Alicante province although there’s a chance of some scattered showers
Weather outlook on Saturday February 24
With half of Spain on high alert for torrential rain, snowfall and sky-high waves, Alicante province will once again escape the brunt of this adverse weather front. There is a chance of some weak and scattered showers over the weekend and while the temperatures will fall, it will remain mild and even begin to heat up as we edge towards next week.
Thursday February 22
It will be mostly cloudy today with temperatures gradually warming up, especially near the coast. There will be a light breeze blowing from the west, steadily picking up speed during the day and becoming stronger in the afternoon, with occasional strong gusts inland.

Alcoy: 12ºC to 24ºC
Alicante: 13ºC to 26ºC
Denia: 11ºC to 27ºC
Elche: 12ºC to 28ºC
Orihuela: 11ºC to 28ºC
Friday February 23
Friday will again be mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping somewhat dramatically compared to Thursday, especially during the day. There will be a moderate west wind, occasionally picking up strength and causing strong gusts inland. The wind will die down by the end of the day.

Alcoy: 6ºC to 14ºC
Alicante: 11ºC to 20ºC
Denia: 10ºC to 20ºC
Elche: 10ºC to 19ºC
Orihuela: 9ºC to 19ºC
Saturday February 24
Again very cloudy and particularly overcast during the first half of the day. There's a chance of light, scattered rain showers and weak frosts in the interior of the northern half of the province, with snow levels ranging from 900 to 1100 metres. Temperatures will either stay the same or decrease slightly. A moderate northwest wind is expected, with occasional strong gusts in inland areas.

Alcoy: 4ºC to 13ºC
Alicante: 9ºC to 19ºC
Denia: 8ºC to 19ºC
Elche: 9ºC to 18ºC
Orihuela: 9ºC to 18ºC
Sunday February 25
Cloudy skies will dominate on Sunday, with a chance of light rain showers in the interior of northern Alicante. Temperatures will remain relatively steady, with minimums showing little change and maximums increasing. A moderate west or southwest wind is expected, with occasional strong gusts in inland areas.

Alicante: 11ºC to 21ºC
Denia: 10ºC to 21ºC
Elche: 9ºC to 21ºC
