Temperatures will hover around 20ºC with nighttime lows of 6ºC in parts of Alicante province

Provided December doesn't pan out to be a monsoonal or icy end to the year, 2022 is set to be the warmest year since the records began in 1961 in Alicante province, and the fourth driest, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

And while temperatures remain particularly pleasant for this time of the year, thermometers will drop this weekend, particularly at nighttime, although, aside from the chance of scattered showers on Friday, it will remain dry.

However, it will continue to feel windy, although not to the extent of gusts which wreaked havoc in parts of the province this week.

Medium to high cloud early doors on Friday November 25 will subside by the afternoon and showers are likely along the north coast. In addition to a decrease in minimum temperatures, a light wind from the north and west will feel more intense inland and become north-easterly on the coast from midday.

Alcoy: 8ºC to 18ºC

Alicante: 13ºC to 22ºC

Denia: 13ºC to 21ºC

Elche: 12ºC to 23ºC

Orihuela: 12ºC to 23ºC

Low cloud with intervals of high cloud are forecast on Saturday November 26 and temperatures will continue to fall. Wind from the northwest will decrease in intensity as the day progresses further inland with westerly and light southerly winds on the coast.

Alcoy: 6ºC to 18ºC

Alicante: 9ºC to 19ºC

Denia: 11ºC to 19ºC

Elche: 7ºC to 19ºC

Orihuela: 8ºC to 19ºC

Again, cloud will prevail on Sunday November 27 with only a slight change in temperatures, remaining around the 20ºC mark during the day. A light variable wind is forecast for inland areas and slightly more intense southerly gusts are likely on the coast during the evening.

Alcoy: 9ºC to 21ºC

Alicante: 9ºC to 20ºC

Denia: 10ºC to 20ºC

Elche: 6ºC to 20ºC

Orihuela: 7ºC to 20ºC
