Where to eat well in Alicante, according to the 2025 Michelin Guide
Alicante leads the pack in the Valencian Community, with 24 standout restaurants proving you don't need a star to serve great food

The plaque presentation took place at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, with Royal Bliss sponsoring the event. Chefs, bartenders and food lovers came together to celebrate the people and places that make dining out something special. There were heartfelt speeches, raised glasses and plenty of love for local cooking done well.
So what exactly is a “recommended” restaurant? It's a nod from Michelin to those places that haven't been awarded a star but still offer a dining experience worth talking about. Think delicious, unfussy dishes made with top-quality produce, a warm and welcoming setting, and prices that don't require a second mortgage. These are the kinds of places where you feel just as good walking in as you do rolling out, happily full.
Alicante's list features a brilliant mix of long-standing favorites and rising stars. Each one brings something unique to the table — literally. From innovative menus to heartfelt home cooking, they all share a passion for doing things properly, without the fuss.
As one Michelin representative said at the event, “More than 60% of the country is represented in the recommended list, showing that fine cuisine can be found far beyond the big cities and fine-dining temples.”
From the city center to the coast and further inland, Alicante is proving that you don't need a star to shine. These restaurants are full of heart, flavor and creativity — and just might become your new favourites.
