A young man proposed to his boyfriend with an entire dance troop in Murcia
The Plaza de la Catedral de Murcia is an iconic, romantic spot and this week it was the site of a marriage proposal with a real difference, as a young man organised a flashmob to a well-known Bruno Mars song to ask his boyfriend to tie the knot.
Hundreds of passers-by stopped to watch the spectacle as a dance team from the Murcia Dance Centre academy took to the middle of the square as ‘Marry You’ blasted from their speakers. Dozens of dancers, dressed all in white, put on a stunning show before clearing the way for the groom-to-be.
The young man danced to Jay Wheeler’s ‘EaZt’ until he whipped a ring from his pocket and ran to his partner. He popped the question to riotous applause and cheers from onlookers, many of whom filmed the special moment and uploaded the videos to social media.

After hugging and kissing, the brave groom announced the good news: “He said yes!” at which point all hell broke loose among his dance team and the gathered crowd.
The show-stopping proposal has received hundreds of ‘likes’ on TikTok and a fair few comments from loved-up men and women, whose expectations, it’s fair to say, have certainly been raised after this performance.
“If it’s not something like that, I don’t want anything,” one social media user joked.
