Until April 27 Distopías exhibition by José Luis Galindo in Murcia
The latest work by Galindo can be seen at the Palacio Almudí in the city of Murcia
Now 80 years old, artist José Luis Galindo continues his impressive career with the exhibition “Distopías”, which can currently be seen at the Palacio Almudí in the city of Murcia.
The collection of works on display attempts to document reality while at the same time expressing emotion and experience, provoking reflection and social criticism and celebrating beauty, showing a range of influences from the dark paintings of Goya to Picasso and the expressionism of Kirchner, Marc and Beckmann.
Although he was born in Albacete, both of José Luis Galindo Iniesta’s parents were from Murcia, where he has spent most of his life. He studied in Valencia and worked as a teacher of Artistic Drawing at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios, the Escuela de Arte and the Escuela Superior de Diseño.
Distopías can be seen at the Palacio Almudí until 27th April within the following opening hours:
Monday to Saturday 11.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 21.00
Sundays 11.00 to 14.00
Closed on public holidays.
Guided tours of the paintings are being held on 8th Match (with Victoria Clemente) and 12th April (with Pilar Moreno, Galindo’s wife).
