ARCHIVED - Unconscious girl rescued from public swimming pool in Murcia
A lifeguard rescues a boy and girl from the pool in a Murcia district, with the latter needing CPR attention.
A 7-year-old girl required life-saving treatment after being pulled from a public swimming pool by a lifeguard in the La Alberca district of Murcia at around 11.20 am on July 14.
The Emergency Coordination Centre 112 of the Region was informed that a 12-year-old boy was also rescued at the same time.
The young girl was treated by the lifeguard before ambulance staff took over and she was transferred to the Virgen de la Arrixaca hospital in Murcia in critical condition.
The boy was treated by the 061 medical staff but did not require hospital treatment, according to 112 sources.
