Alicante will wave goodbye to the month of February with cold, rain and wind
Weather outlook on Tuesday February 27
Winter weather returns to the province of Alicante at the tail-end of February, with a far chillier climate anticipated for the next few days. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), rain showers are expected to hit the province on Monday and Tuesday, although they won't be heavy enough to significantly replenish the local reservoirs.
Temperatures will dip slightly at the start of the week, with highs below 20ºC in all municipalities. Overnight lows will range between 10 and 15ºC across the province, except in mountainous areas like Alcoy, where temperatures may drop as low as 5 or 6ºC during the early morning hours.
The winds will also pick up again and several weather warnings have been issued as a result.
Monday February 26
The week will start off rather cloudy with a good chance of weak rainfall inland that could spread to the coast as isolated showers. Night-time temperatures will rise slightly but there will be little change during the day.
