Temperatures climb back into the 30s: Alicante weather forecast Sept 28-Oct 1
The mercury will soar throughout of Alicante province this weekend to hit the mid-30s on Sunday
The arrival of a warm, dry Saharan air mass over Spain in the next few days will result in “exceptionally high” temperatures throughout the Valencian Community, and the mercury in Alicante province is widely expected to exceed 30ºC.
This ‘Veranillo de San Miguel’ or ‘San Miguel Summer’ is a fairly common last blast of heat before true autumn sets in and will bathe Alicante in warm sunshine for the entire weekend.
According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the mornings will continue to get off to a slow start, with plenty of foggy cloud cover and a definite chill, but the coming days will be dominated by sunshine once these early clouds dissolve.
Thursday September 28
Thursday will be mostly clear with some high clouds dotted around and the temperatures will begin to rise ever so slightly. A light variable wind will feel breezier in the afternoon.

Alcoy: 16ºC to 29ºC
Alicante: 19ºC to 27ºC
Denia: 18ºC to 28ºC
Elche: 16ºC to 28ºC
Orihuela: 17ºC to 30ºC
Friday September 29
Overcast skies and possible mists will start the day but the afternoon promises to be mostly clear and bright. There won’t be much change to the temperatures compared to Thursday although Friday night will be a little warmer.

Alcoy: 17ºC to 29ºC
Alicante: 20ºC to 27ºC
Denia: 18ºC to 28ºC
Elche: 17ºC to 28ºC
Orihuela: 18ºC to 30ºC
Saturday September 30
Low morning cloud along the coast and in southern Alicante will clear early, giving way to a very sunny day. The daytime temperatures will ramp up to well above normal values for this time of year, particularly in coastal areas.

Alcoy: 17ºC to 31ºC
Alicante: 20ºC to 29ºC
Denia: 18ºC to 30ºC
Elche: 17ºC to 31ºC
Orihuela: 18ºC to 32ºC
Sunday October 1
The mercury will continue to soar on Sunday, hitting the low to mid-30s in most parts of the province, but the heat will be most pronounced along the southern coast of Alicante. Sunday will be another mostly clear day with gentle sea breezes.

Alcoy: 17ºC to 33ºC
Alicante: 21ºC to 32ºC
Denia: 20ºC to 31ºC
Elche: 17ºC to 33ºC
Orihuela: 18ºC to 34ºC
