Stronger than usual 4.1-magnitude earthquake shakes Andalucía provinces
Residents across multiple Andalusian provinces were awakened by a tremor with a magnitude of 4.1 originating near Seville

Adrián Torres, the mayor of Cazalla de la Sierra, reported that while the quake startled many locals and caused noticeable shaking of homes and furniture, there were no significant material damages. Local authorities conducted inspections of municipal buildings to ensure structural integrity remained intact.
The earthquake's intensity varied, being more pronounced in 17 municipalities and milder in another 166. Approximately an hour later, a 1.7 magnitude aftershock was recorded near Constantina.
Emergency services received over twenty calls from concerned residents in areas including Lora del Río, Brenes, Constantina, Burguillos, Seville city, Alanís, Villanueva del Río y Minas, Aracena, Jabugo, Santa Olalla del Cala, Hornachuelos and Palma del Río. Despite the widespread concern, no personal injuries or significant property damage have been reported.
The National Geographic Institute (IGN) continues to monitor the situation closely, though no further aftershocks have been reported at this time.
Residents are reminded to remain vigilant and follow any guidance issued by local authorities.
