Spring showers and cloudy skies: Alicante weather forecast March 7-10
Clouds and winds will return to Alicante ahead of the rain over the weekend
Weather outlook on Saturday March 9
This coming weekend in Alicante will be marked by very unsettled weather conditions, with a mix of cloudy skies, scattered rain and changing temperatures. The persistent winds, which died down considerably at the beginning of the week, will begin to pick up again, prompting yellow alerts for rough seas in coastal areas.
Thursday March 7
Thursday will be largely overcast with the odd clear spell and a chance of scattered rain throughout Alicante province, especially in the afternoon. The morning will start with mist and fog banks in inland areas, followed by a gentle increase in minimum temperatures and unchanged daytime temperatures.
The wind will blow lightly to moderately from the east.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday
Alcoy: 7ºC to 17ºC
Alicante: 11ºC to 18ºC
Denia: 8ºC to 18ºC
Elche: 9ºC to 18ºC
Orihuela: 8ºC to 18ºC
Friday March 8
Aemet expects cloudy skies with occasional rain, although the likelihood of showers decreases towards the south. The snow level will be around 1,200-1,400 metres, and temperatures will decrease in the interior while remaining steady on the coast.
Moderate winds from the west and southwest are expected.

Alcoy: 6ºC to 15ºC
Alicante: 10ºC to 20ºC
Denia: 9ºC to 20ºC
Elche: 7ºC to 20ºC
Orihuela: 7ºC to 20ºC
Saturday March 9
Saturday will be very cloudy with rain advancing from west to east, becoming more scattered and less likely towards the coast as the day goes by. The snow level will range from 1,400 to 1,800 metres, dropping to just 900-1,200 metres by the end of the day.
Minimum temperatures will rise slightly, while the day will be a little cooler in most parts.
Southerly winds will blow lightly to moderately, shifting to west and southwest in the afternoon. A yellow weather alert has been issued for rough seas along the north and south coasts until 3pm.

Alcoy: 7ºC to 14ºC
Alicante: 10ºC to 19ºC
Denia: 9ºC to 19ºC
Elche: 8ºC to 20ºC
Orihuela: 8ºC to 20ºC
Sunday March 10
The outlook remains much the same as we come to the end of the weekend, with plenty of cloudy intervals and the possibility of weak and isolated showers in the north of the province. The snow level will be between 500 and 800 metres.
Morning mists and fog banks are expected in inland depressions, followed by stable temperatures throughout the day. Moderate to strong west winds are predicted, with possible strong gusts inland during central hours.

Alcoy: 8ºC to 15ºC
Alicante: 10ºC to 21ºC
Denia: 9ºC to 20ºC
Elche: 7ºC to 20ºC
Orihuela: 7ºC to 21ºC
