Scheduled power cuts throughout Alicante until June 20
Planned blackouts will hit 21 municipalities in Alicante between now and Friday

If you live in Alicante or the surrounding area, chances are you’re going to temporarily lose power over the next few days, as Iberdrola has some planned electricity cuts coming your way between now and Friday June 20.
Don't worry though, it's all routine maintenance work to keep the electrical grid running smoothly and safely.
The outages will affect quite a few places across the province. Beyond Alicante city itself, the outages will hit Benidorm, Callos d'en Sarria, Castalla, Denia, Elche, Elda, Javea, La Nucía, Villena, Monovar, Moraira, Mutxamel, Novelda, Orihuela, Petrer, Pilar de la Horadada, Raiguero de Bonanza, Salinas, Sant Joan d'Alacant and Villajoyosa.
In all, 21 municipalities are getting hit with these scheduled blackouts.
Iberdrola promises to give everyone 24 hours' notice before the lights go out. They'll put up signs at affected buildings showing exactly when the power is expected to go off and when it should come back on.
There's actually some good news in all this. If the maintenance crews finish their work early, they'll flip the switch and get your power back on right away without waiting for the scheduled end time.
But at the same time, Iberdrola is warning people not to do any electrical work on their own systems during the outage period. Why? Because if the power suddenly comes back on while you're messing around with your electrical setup, things could get very dangerous very fast.
You can find more detailed information about the exact locations of the power cuts here.
