ARCHIVED - San Juan Jazz Festival August 3 and 17
Open air jazz concerts in Alicante province on the Costa Blanca
San Juan International Jazz Festival is back for a third year, albeit in a scaled back version due to the pandemic.
The last two festivals brought together an array of national and international musicians, and quickly became "hugely popular musical events" in San Juan's calendar and, despite capacity restrictions, the Sociedad Musical La Paz, Refugio Jazz Club and the local council, which jointly organise the jazz fest, are determined the show will go on with two open air concerts.
Tuesday, August 3, 9pm - North American trombonist Enric Peidro will perform with the Enric Peidro Quintet, hailed as one of the most important traditional jazz musicians worldwide, at Municipal Gardens of Manzaneta.
Tuesday, August 17, 9pm - 'Trio', Spanish vibraphonist Arturo Serra and double bass player Andrés Lizón team up with Italian drummer Simone Zaniol.
Music lovers are asked to reserve a seat in advance by emailing entradas@musicasanjuan.com
