Emergency services attend road traffic accident and treat injured woman trapped in her vehicle in Camposol

On Friday March 31 at 7.03 pm the Murcia Regional Emergency Coordination Centre 1-1-2 received several calls reporting a traffic accident with a person trapped inside a vehicle in the Camposol Urbanisation on the Avenida de los Covachos dual carriageway in Sector D.

On arrival the emergency service found a single-vehicle accident with a 77-year-old woman trapped inside. Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle, which was on its side, and extricate the injured party who was treated by medical personnel "in situ" and found to be suffering multiple contusions. After treatment at the scene the injured woman was transferred to hospital.

Firefighters of the Fire and Rescue Consortium of the Region of Murcia.

Local Police patrol of Mazarrón.

A Mobile Emergency Unit of the Health Emergencies and Emergencies Management 061.

Following the incident Mazarrón Local Police issued a statement describing the accident and adding “Fortunately the driver suffered no serious injuries”.
