ARCHIVED - Regulated parking comes into force in Teulada Moraira: everything you need to know
The adaption phase will begin on January 16 and full blue zones will be active in the Marina Alta municipality, Alicante province, from February 1
In a bid to resolve parking difficulties for residents, a new regulated parking service will come into force in Teulada Moraira on Monday January 16.
Motorists will be given a fortnight to adapt to the new tariffs before the regulations are officially adopted at full capacity on February 1.
As well as hopefully alleviating parking issues for local residents, the regulated service will benefit both businesses and visitors to the town centres, guaranteeing more free parking spaces in the busiest areas, according to the Town Hall.
The delimited streets are as follows:

Parking in regulated zones
Motorists who park in any one of the time-limited zone must purchase a ticket from the vending machines provided using cash or credit card. The receipt will show the time of arrival, the amount paid, the vehicle registration number and the authorised parking end time. The service may also be used through the mobile application or any other telematic system.
Maximum parking time
The maximum parking time in the blue zones will be two hours in the case of non-residents and three hours in the case of residents, both in the morning and in the afternoon.
After this time, in the case of non-residents, the vehicle must be moved from the regulated parking zone, allowing other users to park more easily. In the case of residents affected by the regulated zones, they may renew their ticket if they are going to exceed the three-hour limit within the established timetable.
In the case of reduced mobility badge holders, the maximum period of stay will be doubled.
Teulada residents who live in streets with regulated parking and who pay road tax in Teulada Moraira can benefit from discounts by registering at the office located in the Tot Llum building, (3rd floor, door 13), Avenida del Mediterráneo 135 in Teulada Moraira.
Moraira residents can regiser in the Espai La Senieta building or by calling 670 591 195.
