RED ALERT ACTIVATED IN SOUTHERN MURCIA FOR TORRENTIAL RAIN

As of 10.25 on Thursday the authorities in the Region of Murcia upgraded the current state of alert for heavy storms and torrential rain to RED status, urging extreme precaution and advising members of the public to stay in their homes.
Phone alerts sounded throughout Cartagena and Mazarrón as the red alert status was initiated until 12.00 on the advice of the state meteorological agency AEMET
PLEASE HEED THE WARNING, which also applies to the municipalities of San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier, La Unión, Fuente Álamo and others.
