ARCHIVED - Pregnant woman one of 12 injured after bus overturns on the A-7 Alicante
The crash occured at kilometre 543 in Granja de Rocamora, Alicante province
A dozen people were injured when a bus overturned on the A-7 in Granja de Rocamora, Alicante province on Saturday night, April 24, including a pregnant woman who suffered "serious head trauma". Of the 12 hurt, two other people were seriously injured, and three sustained multiple wounds.
According to Emergencias 112 GVA, firefighters from Orihuela, Almoradí and Crevillente thankfully didn't have to free any of the wounded passengers and no fatalities have been reported. All of the injured people were treated "for injuries of varying degrees" at the scene before being taken to the Vinalopó and General hospitals in Elche and the Vega Baja hospital in Orihuela.

For reasons as yet unspecified, the coach, which was travelling on the Barcelona-Murcia-Algeciras route with 50 passengers on board, left the road and overturned at kilometre 543. The transport company sent a second bus to pick up the unharmed passengers and continue on the journey.
Alicante Provincial Fire Brigade, the Generalitat Police, Guardia Civil Traffic Departmen, teams from the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU) and an ambulance from the Red Cross were all sent to the scene.
