Ouigo unleashes one-euro tickets for Murcia-Madrid high-speed train line
The rail operator is offering 10,000 cut-price train tickets between the Region of Murcia and the Spanish capital
Travel in style on a shoestring budget this winter and spring with an incredible offer from rail company Ouigo. The high-speed train operator has launched a flash sale of 10,000 tickets for just 1 euro each way for travel between Murcia and Madrid.
This incredible offer is available from Tuesday November 19 until March 31 next year, giving you plenty of time to plan your next adventure.
While tickets on the Murcia-Elche-Madrid route usually start at just 9 euros, this limited-time offer is a game-changer for train travellers on a budget.
To snag one of these 1 euro tickets, simply download the Ouigo app or visit their website, which was temporarily down this Tuesday due to such high demand.
This isn't the first time Ouigo has wowed passengers with its ticket promotions. In April, the company launched a similar campaign on the Madrid-Segovia-Valladolid line and now it's Murcia's turn to benefit from this amazing deal.
For those who may not be familiar with Ouigo, the company is part of the French railway giant SNCF and began operating in Murcia last September with two daily double-decker trains to and from the Spanish capital.
These sleek trains boast a whopping 14,000 seats per week and can whisk you away from Murcia to Madrid in just 3 hours and 15 minutes, with convenient stops in Elche and Albacete.
Ouigo's trains avoid Alicante, which means the journey time is kept nice and short.
During the winter season, Ouigo trains leave Madrid at 8.15am and 4.15pm. Upon arrival in Murcia they park up for an hour and a half, and head back to the Spanish capital at 12.39pm and 8.39pm.
