ARCHIVED - One of the biggest festive markets on the Costa Blanca: Jijona Christmas Fair until Dec 8
More than 90,000 people visited Alicante province's 'Feria de Navidad de Jijona' last year
The 14th Jijona Christmas Fair got underway at the weekend, and this year, one of the largest festive market in Alicante province, in fact the whole of the Valencia Region, has been extended to last six days to take advantage of the national public holidays.
Last year, more than 90,000 people visited the fair, a calendar event that has become a "quintessential Christmas tradition", with 60 nougat exhibitors and almost 100 stalls showcasing locally-produced sweets, chocolates, ice cream, nuts and handmade gifts.
In addition, there's a bumper programme of activities for all the family, including exhibitions, guided and dramatised tours, demonstrations and gastronomic tastings, performances, screenings, children's workshops and attractions.
