An 18-year-old was fatally injured and a child, 5, was amongst others seriously hurt in three crashes in the Valencia region

An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed instantly after veering off the A-7 and crashing in one of three road accidents on the Costa Blanca at the weekend in which a further six people were injured including a five-year-old.
The first and fatal crash happened at around 9.30am on Sunday November 7 when, according to the DGT Traffic Management Centre, the young man's motorbike left the A-7 at kllometre 293 in Benavites, and was involved in an "off-road accident". He died instantly.
In a separate accident involving a car and a motorbike, two people were injured, one of them seriously.
Police sources confirmed the crash occurred in Valencia city's Avenida Ingeniero Manuel Soto at around 12 noon on Sunday.
The driver of the car, a 47-year-old man, was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries, whilst the motorcyclist, a woman aged 38, suffered a head injury and after being attended by medics at the scene, was taken to Hospital Clínico de Valencia where she remains in a "serious condition".
In a third incident, four people including a five-year-old child were injured in a two-car crash in Cullera.
It's not yet clear what caused the accident, but according to the Emergency Coordination Information Centre (CICU), the first reports of a collision at kilometre 3 on the CV-603 were received at around 8.45pm.
Two SAMU units, a Basic Life Support unit, a conventional ambulance and a primary care doctor were sent to the scene, where a five-year-old boy was immediately rushed to La Fe hospital in Valencia with "severe injuries".
Two women, aged 39 and 36, suffered polycontusions and were taken to La Ribera hospital in Alzira, whilst a fourth person was treated at the scene.
