Naked body found floating off Alicante beach
The deceased was wearing nothing but flip-flops when he was discovered in Cabo de la Huerta

The body of a man was found floating in the water on Monday July 14 near La Palmera cove, in the Cabo de la Huerta area of Alicante city, according to National Police sources.
The body was naked except for the flip-flops it was wearing, and was spotted by a swimmer at around 12 noon, floating face down and bumping into the rocks.
The National Police are investigating the circumstances of the man's death. According to the same sources, he showed no signs of violence, except for some abrasions and bruises, probably as a result of hitting the rocks.
The cause of death is currently unknown, pending the results of the investigation and post-mortem. The identity of the victim is also unknown.
Last month, a badly decomposed body was discovered in the sea around two nautical miles off the coast of Tarbarca Island in Alicante. The Guardia Civil Maritime Service, who removed the remains from the water, said that the body had likely been floating for several weeks given the stage of decomposition.
Although the investigation is ongoing, at this stage, the most likely explanation under consideration is that the woman drowned while attempting to cross the Mediterranean by boat.
