We’re in for a bit of a mixed bag this weekend, with some sunny spells (especially on Friday and Sunday), some heavy rainstorms (Saturday) and more very strong and powerful gusts of wind, accompanied by unusually high temperatures (Thursday). Something for everyone, then!

For Thursday, the Aemet forecast is for “very cloudy skies, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall inland, with skies becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon,” but with the main takeaway being the “very strong gusts of wind” that have put the entire region on yellow and orange alert.

Interestingly, temperatures are high this Thursday – up to 25ºC in central Murcia in the early afternoon – although it won’t feel much like it due to that strong southwesterly.

Most of Friday will be drier and brighter, at least for the first part of the day, turning a bit cloudier towards the afternoon, with only yellow weather alerts for windspeeds up to 70kmh in the western parts of the Region of Murcia from 12 midday until 12 midnight.

Saturday February 7

As yet, there are no weather alerts at all for Saturday, which is forecast to start off dry but then start chucking it down with rain from about lunchtime onwards and carry on until the evening with thunderstorms across every single part of Murcia.

Temperatures will almost certainly not reach highs of 25ºC again, with Aemet forecasting maximums of 16ºC.

The rain lasts all through the night, only easing off on Sunday morning, when the temperatures creep back up ever so slightly. You should be able to get out and enjoy the day on Sunday before more rain sets in on Monday morning.
