ARCHIVED - Murcia to become epicentre of national flamenco: December 2 to 4
FlamencoEñe will bring nine concerts to the Teatro Circo de Murcia, featuring the best representatives of flamenco in Spain
The Teatro Circo de Murcia is gearing up to host the 6th annual FlamencoEñe 2021 featuring nine concerts that will take place from December 2 to 4.
The festival, organised by the Fundación SGAE in collaboration with Murcia Council, aims to shine an international light on flamenco in Spain with a series of short concerts over three days, featuring performers from all over the world together with a series of conferences to allow them “to get to know each other”.
The programme combines regular and well-known names on the scene with young talents of varied styles including: Andrés Barrios; Carmen Doorá; Rubem Dantas Flamenco Trío; Antonio Gómez Muñoz ‘El Turry’; Antonio Lizana; Mercedes Luján; Álvaro Martinete Trío; Pedro María Peña and Ángeles Toledano.
Tickets, which cost 10 euros for three concerts each day, are available at the box office or via teatrocircomurcia.es.
The three-day program of guitar and flamenco fusion is as follows:
Thursday December 2:
7pm - Pedro María Peña
8pm - Ángeles Toledano
9pm - Antonio Lizana. The Secret of the World
Friday December 3:
7pm - Mercedes Luján. Now or never
8pm - Antonio Gómez ‘El Turry’.
9pm - Álvaro Martinete Trio
Saturday December 4:
7pm - Andrés Barrios
8pm - Carmen Doorá. Carmen Doorá
9pm - Rubem Dantas Flamenco Trio
