Mix of sun and overcast skies this weekend: Alicante weather forecast Feb 29-Mar 3
The winds will remain high in Alicante over the next few days and light rain is forecast
Alicante is in for an unsettled weekend, with lots of sunshine and bright spells giving way to overcast skies and rainy episodes as the days go on, particularly in the northern half of the province.
Thursday February 29
Skies will be partially cloudy or clear, with minimal temperature fluctuations overnight. During the day the mercury will rise inland while remaining steady along the coast. A gentle west or northwest breeze will blow, gradually intensifying throughout the day.

Alcoy: 4ºC to 18ºC
Alicante: 8ºC to 19ºC
Denia: 7ºC to 18ºC
Elche: 7ºC to 21ºC
Orihuela: 7ºC to 22ºC
Friday March 1
Clear skies will dominate on Friday, with very few temperature changes overnight. However, the highs will decrease inland but they should be similar to Thursday everywhere else. A moderate to strong northwest wind will blow, shifting to west and southwest in the afternoon.

Alcoy: 5ºC to 16ºC
Alicante: 8ºC to 22ºC
Denia: 9ºC to 19ºC
Elche: 8ºC to 21ºC
Orihuela: 9ºC to 21ºC
Saturday March 2
Cloud cover will spread from north to south on Saturday, with a chance of showers in the interior of the northern half of the province. Temperatures will remain relatively stable, with slight decreases in the north and no changes in the rest. Southwest winds will pick up, becoming moderate to strong with the possibility of strong gusts inland later in the day.

Alcoy: 6ºC to 17ºC
Alicante: 10ºC to 21ºC
Denia: 9ºC to 21ºC
Elche: 8ºC to 21ºC
Orihuela: 7ºC to 22ºC
Sunday March 3
Sunday will begin rather overcast with scattered showers throughout but this will ease off by mid-afternoon and the skies will clear. Both day and nighttime temperatures will fall everywhere but the coast and the winds will continue to be strong, particularly inland.

Alcoy: 4ºC to 13ºC
Alicante: 9ºC to 19ºC
Denia: 8ºC to 18ºC
Elche: 8ºC to 18ºC
